LOOOM: PERFORMANCES ON ECOFEMINISM

LOOOM: PERFORMANCES ON ECOFEMINISM

APRIL 2ND 2023 AT AMP STUDIOS

An immersive evening with interdisciplinary artistic performances and a discussion panel to dive into the topic of ecofeminism!

LOOOM COLLAB is an event-based platform that seeks to inspire social change through facilitating interdisciplinary artistic collaborations. We create unique, thought-provoking experiences by encouraging creative collaboration between performing artists around topics we’re passionate about.

This year, we are exploring ecofeminism. As a theory, ecofeminism analyses the connection between the domination and exploitation of women and other so-called "minorities", and what Humanity has categorised as Nature. We feel that it is more important than ever to bring this concept forward, as it can help us confront the current state of the world.

For the first edition of LOOOM in London, we will host interdisciplinary and collaborative performances that reflect interpretations of ecofeminist theory. Our stage will showcase live music, video art, soundscapes and shibari, as well as a panel discussion with the artists and an ecofeminist expert.

We aim to create a fascinating, immersive atmosphere in a safe and free space, to offer an enjoyable and reflective experience for everyone. We want to spark collective inspiration, creativity and openness, and allow our audience to share and connect through it, making the evening all the more enriching and captivating.
