WHAT IS LOOOM COLLAB?

LOOOM COLLAB is an event-based platform that seeks to inspire social change by facilitating interdisciplinary artistic collaborations.

Through artistic mediation and the creation of a “free space”, our platform welcomes audiences who want to experience unique, mind-broadening and safe events by merging art with complex socio-political concepts.

We believe we can have a positive impact on society through music and cultural events.

WHAT DO WE DO?

COLLABORATION

We pair up artists from different disciplines and give them a space to create something new together, encouraging creative interdisciplinary collaboration. Our aim is to nurture artists by allowing them to push boundaries and challenge themselves, supporting artistic development.

MEDIATION

We aim to bring relevant socio-political concepts (such as intersectionality, ecofeminism) to the general public through the performing arts, with the added collaboration of activists and experts. Throughout our events, they lead workshops and talks, carefully curated to match the different performances. This allows our audience to have a full approach and a better understanding of these topics.

FREE SPACE

Inspired by the concept of “safe space”, we introduce the idea of “free space”, creating events free of any type of discrimination, harassment and hostility, where people can feel free to express themselves. To that end, we put policies in place that encourage proper event etiquette.

OUR NEXT EDITION

ECOFEMINISM

This year, we are exploring ecofeminism. As a theory, ecofeminism analyses the connection between the domination and exploitation of women and other so-called "minorities", and what Humanity has categorised as Nature. We feel that it is more important than ever to bring this concept forward, as it can help us confront the current state of the world.

Throughout 2023, both in London and in Paris, we are organising various events that are inspired by and put forward ecofeminism. These events range from live performances, to workshops, panels, and talks ; and all of them are conceived with interdisciplinary collaboration as a basis.
